Private Vancouver to Squamish & Sea to Sky Gondola Tour

A Half-Day Along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, Without the Commitment of a Full Day

canada's most scenic drive, in half a day

All the charm of the Sea-to-Sky, in a shorter trip

Not everyone has a full day free to go all the way to Whistler — and that's okay! Squamish sits right at the halfway point along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, and packs in some of the most spectacular spots along the route: the Sea to Sky Gondola, with breathtaking views over the mountains and the fjord, and the majestic Shannon Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in British Columbia.

This half-day private tour is perfect for those who want to experience the Sea-to-Sky without giving up the rest of the day in Vancouver — or for anyone who simply prefers a shorter, more relaxed outing, at their own pace, with a local guide from start to finish.

Guided by Me or My Trusted Team

Whenever possible, I personally take you to Squamish myself. When I'm already out with another group (or off exploring some corner of the world!), one of my personally trained team guides takes over the tour instead. Either way, you're traveling with someone who knows every curve of the Sea-to-Sky and exactly where it's worth stopping.

What You'll Discover in Squamish

A shorter route, but with the highlights of the Sea-to-Sky — no rush, at your own pace.

1

Shannon Falls Provincial Park

The first stop along the way: British Columbia's third-tallest waterfall, at 335 meters, just steps from the parking area.

2

Virgin River Fan? This Stop Is for You!

Squamish was a filming location for Netflix's Virgin River, and the exterior and surroundings used for the iconic "Jack's Bar" are right here in town. If you'd like, we can even plan the tour so you can have lunch there — just a heads up: the real restaurant's interior looks quite different from what you see on the show (it was fully recreated in a studio, much larger than the actual space), but recognizing the exterior setting is still a great moment for fans.

Stawamus Chief

Before heading back, take in the iconic Stawamus Chief, one of the most famous granite monoliths in the world and a symbol of Squamish — Canada's "Outdoor Recreation Capital."

FAQ

Is this tour different from the Whistler tour?

Yes! This is a shorter, more focused outing, designed for those with half a day available or who prefer a more relaxed pace. If you have a full day free and want to go further, our Whistler tour covers a longer stretch of the Sea-to-Sky, including Brandywine Falls and Whistler Village.

Can we customize the stops?

Absolutely! Your tour is completely private. We can adjust the time at each stop, or even add an extra stretch of the Sea-to-Sky, depending on your interests. Two popular options: the Britannia Mine Museum, a former mine where you can ride a small train into the heart of the mountain, and the newly opened Squamish Canyon, an elevated forest boardwalk with views of Mamquam Falls. Keep in mind these extra stops add time to the tour (each typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours), so they work best for those with a bit more flexibility in their day.

Is the gondola ticket included?

Yes! Unlike other tours, the Sea to Sky Gondola ticket is already included in your tour price — no extra cost and no last-minute decision at the ticket window.

What happens if it rains or snows?

The tour runs rain or shine — the Sea to Sky Gondola operates for most of the year, even with light snow. In cases of closure due to extreme conditions, we'll adjust the itinerary together.

What's the vehicle capacity?

We operate a Toyota Sienna and a Mercedes Sprinter, accommodating everything from small families to larger groups. Just let us know your group size.
