Best places to celebrate St. Patrick's in Vancouver [2024]
Get ready for an unforgettable St. Patrick's Day celebration in Vancouver!
Due to a large population that has roots in Ireland, Scotland and England, we have a rich tradition of honoring St. Patrick's.
In the past, Vancouver used to host a beautiful parade, with thousands of people sitting along the parade's route while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and festive vibes. Unfortunately, this is not a reality anymore. The last St. Patrick's Parade in Vancouver took place in 2016.
Although the parade is now a thing of the past, there are still plenty of ways to experience the Irish spirit in Vancouver.
Head over to Granville Street, especially the area between Robson St. and Davie St., where you will find booths and "all things Irish" to explore and enjoy.
On Saturday, March 16, 2024, immerse yourself in the melodic tunes of the Vancouver Welsh Men's Choir at the Christ Church Cathedral. Additionally, don't miss the free celebrations outside the Vancouver Art Gallery.
There's something new happening this year! On Sunday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., there will be free street party with live music and dancing on Carrall St. between Powell and East Cordova streets. Several bars in the region will host their own celebrations as well.
Have a GREAT ST. PATRICK'S DAY
